R5: (3 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (30)
R6: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) repeat 5 times, 2 sc (36)
R7–R12: 36 sc
Insert safety eyes between R9 and R10, with a distance of 4 sc between them.
R13: 2 sc, dec, (4 sc, dec) repeat 5 times, 1 sc (30)
R14: (3 sc, dec) repeat 6 times (24)
R15: 1 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) repeat 5 times, 1 sc (18)
R16: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times (18)
Stuff firmly. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Antennae (make 2)
Crochet with black yarn.
Chain 10. Insert hook into the 3rd chain from the hook and slip stitch to the end of the chain. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Flowers (make 2)
Crochet with white yarn.
In MR crochet: (1 sc, 2 ch, 1 dc, 2 ch, 1 sc; 2 ch) repeat 5 times. Join with a sl st into the first stitch. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Embroider the center with yellow yarn.
You can crochet the flowers in any way you like, preferably using thinner yarn. You can also make bows instead.
Arms (make 2)
Crochet with yellow yarn.
R1: 6 sc in MR
R2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 3 times (9)
R3: 9 sc
R4: (1 sc, dec) repeat 3 times (6)
R5–R10: 6 sc
Do not stuff. Fold the piece in half and crochet 3 sc through both layers. Fasten off and cut the yarn.
Legs and Body
First crochet two legs using yellow yarn.

You may crochet R14 in back loops only if desired; the result may look nicer.

Skirt
Attach black yarn to R15 and work increases in every stitch (60 sc). Crochet 2–3 rounds of 60 sc. Fasten off and cut yarn.
The designer crocheted three rounds. You can also try crocheting the skirt using dc stitches.
Wings (make 2)
Crochet with white yarn.

Assembly and finishing
